JT's Cloud Platform has become the first of it's kind to receive Regulator approval from the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC); the body that regulates eGaming on behalf of the States of Alderney.
Gaining this approval means that global eGaming companies registering with the AGCC can choose JT's Cloud Platform, confident that it meets the stringent international security requirements as set down by the AGCC. This approval bolsters JT's existing AGCC Data Centre Hosting Certificate License and strengthens its position as Cloud partner of choice for the eGaming industry.
To date JT has invested over £40million in its Channel Island based Data Centre facilities and off-island fibre connectivity, and operates the largest Tier 1 telecommunications infrastructure in the Channel Islands.
Paul Taylor, Managing Director of JT's Global Enterprise Business Unit said: "After an intensive process working with the AGCC over some months, JT is extremely pleased to have reached the point to announce that our Cloud platform is the first to achieve Regulator approval. To receive the go ahead and endorsement to host eGaming businesses on our Managed Cloud Platform is really great news to kick-start 2015 and we believe a global first in this market.
"Our Cloud service is ideal for eGaming businesses that are seeking state-of-the-art Data Centre's, offering industry leading hardware and software, backed by a customer centric service in a secure environment. Our position as the only regulator approved solution means we hope new licensees will choose JT as a provider at the very beginning of their selection process and benefit from a speedier route to market. It also means these companies will have access to the wider benefits that JT's carrier grade Cloud Platform offers; around security, control, performance and scalability.
"We welcome this endorsement as recognition of JT's continued investment in order to provide the right products as the global partner of choice for this very important sector. We will continue to work in close partnership with the AGCC and are very grateful to Robin Le Prevost and the AGCC team for their support in enabling JT to make this next step in providing approved eGambling and Cloud Hosting."
Robin Le Prevost, Alderney's Director of eCommerce, commented: "We are delighted that JT have developed the Cloud based solution. It has taken an enormous amount of time and investment on their part to reach this seminal moment. Whilst there may be Cloud technology deployed in a few other jurisdictions none have been certified to specific gambling regulations. Cloud has enormous potential to deliver cost-effective solutions to gambling operators, but there were specific challenges in ensuring that the data and functionality are secure and free from external threats.
"The AGCC has worked closely with JT to bring about this innovation and I have no doubt this will deliver extraordinary capability and commercial benefit to our licensees whilst maintaining the integrity and reputation of the jurisdiction."
JT's Cloud Platform provides a secure environment for both established eGaming organisations and start-ups, under regulation, a cost-effective alternative to their own physical environments. JT's systems use dedicated physical networks and Enterprise grade security controls on best-of-breed hardware and software, with full N+1 resiliency accross the entrie stack. Those choosing to partner with JT will recieve all the service managemenmt elements their customers' require, including 24x7 security monitoring. importantly JT's infrastructure is protected by multiple layers of security including intrusion and denial DDoS prevention to ensure their customers' have peace of mind.
Mr. Taylor continued: "Cloud computing continues to revolutionise the global software and IT sector, driving and delivering significant business efficiencies and wide reaching benefits around security, control, performance and scalability. We are very excited and passionate to now extend our cloud based services to the eGaming sector for our global customers who seek a speedier route to market.
